Mobilize Active Rehabilitation Awareness - Multimodal Power Training

Traditional treatment methods mainly rely on therapists assisting patients to complete passive or power-assisted exercises. Some power-assisted exercises can use equipment or pulleys to provide assistance to assist the affected side to complete the training. Passive exercises lack verbal communication and action induction, while power-assisted exercises have a single training and password. It’s difficult to mobilize the patient's awareness of active participation in training. And for hemiplegic patients who have just started hand grasping exercise training, due to abnormal hand sensation and poor motor control, it is difficult to independently complete functional training such as spherical grasping and columnar grasping; and because the fingers are slender, slender, and finely moved, it is also difficult to provide accurate assistance for hand functional movement.

Active rehabilitation training is based on the patient's wishes, allowing patients to participate in rehabilitation training purposefully. In clinical studies, it has been confirmed that active rehabilitation training can induce functional reorganization of the cortex, which can significantly improve the motor function and activities of daily living of stroke patients with hemiplegia compared with traditional rehabilitation training. In clinical practice, there are still many patients with weakened muscle strength and muscle tone due to nerve paralysis, making it difficult to perform fully autonomous active exercise training. However, they can perform active assist training, in which the patient can actively participate, while the passive movement of the joint enhances the proprioceptive input and emphasizes the correct movement pattern.

Modern robot-assisted training is also common in the rehabilitation of hemiplegia after stroke, but most of them are still based on passive movement, and there is a lack of data collection and feedback of patients’ active participation. Clinical studies of rehabilitation medicine have shown that rehabilitation training with active participation of patients' movement intention is more effective for the reconstruction of the patient's nervous system and the recovery of motor function. Based on the principle of neurorehabilitation, Syrebo™ hand function rehabilitation and evaluation system (hereinafter referred to as "hand function rehabilitation system") innovatively develops progressive assistance training mode, bilateral mirror training mode, task-oriented training mode, and other multi-modal power-assisted training model.
